About: I am a senior microbiologist with several years' experience in teaching and research into infectious diseases. During my career, I had at different times worked in reputable academic and research institutions in Nigeria, Bangladesh, Gambia, Gabon and Liberia, resulting in more 90 publications in peer-review scientific journals. I have also trained and mentored many junior colleagues who are now established scientists. I have been a reviewer for several funding agencies focusing on the so-called “neglected and poverty-related diseases”. My recent positions include serving as the Team Lead for the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)-Ministry of Health (MOH) projects in Liberia on AMR surveillance and Stewardship, and Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS); and thereafter as a Technical Advisor to Health Focus Diagnostics GmbH (https://www.hf-diagnostics.com) in the implementation of a state-of-the-art diagnostic Centre in Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria.
